It Lights Up! Imazu Lighthouse is a Limited Edition replica recreating the historic beacon built in 1810 by the Ozeki Sake Brewery that guided barrel ships coming into the port of Imazu. It was commissioned in honor of the 300th anniversary of "Ozeki Shuzo", the sake brewery. This exotic Japanese lighthouse flashes a green light. The original beacon used a wooden frame lamp and a paper shade to beam light onto the sea. Still active today, this wooden, lantern-shaped landmark has been reconstructed and serves as an important cultural symbol. Our exquisitely crafted resin replica features "Kanji", authentic Japanese characters, etched in its stone-like base. Long lasting LED flashing light with on/off switch requires 3 "AAA" batteries (not included). Measures 3 1/2"W x 5"D x 6 1/2"H on a felt-lined base.
