Lighthouse Grand Teardrop Ornament

This decorative Lighthouse Christmas Ornament is created using the ancient technique of reverse handpainting on the inside of mouth blown glass. Reverse painting flourished in the 17th century, but only a few skilled artists are able to create such work today. From outlining to shading to color application, all work is painstakingly done in freehand. This whimsical lighthouse ornament design reflects the storytelling talent of New England artist Betty Padden.
