Notes:This lighthouse is still fueled by kerosene and maintained by a keeper, who still hand winds the clockwork mechanism to rotate the lens. Directions:Elbow Cay is reached via a regular 40-minute ferry service from Great Abaco at Marsh Harbour. Service is three times daily. Call Albury's Ferry Service at 242-367-3147 for more information. The cay's largest settlement is Hope Town, a little village where the lighthouse is located. The lighthouse is open to the public 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
