A one hundred twelve-foot tower, constructed of Milwaukee brick, was erected at Grande Point au Sable. The lake climate soon took its toll on the brickwork of the tower. Officials encased the entire tower in steel plates up to the watch room and poured concrete in the space between the brick and the plates. Base 2.5"W X 2"D 3.5"H
