Built in 1889 with a focal plane of 223 feet above sea level, Cape Meares Lighthouse overlooks Tillamook Bay, Oregon. The hexagonal tower is only 38 feet tall and had a first order Fresnel lens to light the way. The original station was left to the elements for many years. The Friends of Cape Meares have been working diligently to keep this piece of history in good condition for many visitors to enjoy for years to come.
