Grand Haven, MI

Lake Michigan can turn violent and inflict major damage upon manmade structures and vessels. In 1905 the stone South Pier at Grand Haven was extended more than 100 feet onto the lake. Officials decided to move two lighthouses onto the pier to mark the entrance to Grand River and the harbor. In the center of the pier, engineers erected a 51-foot steel tower and at the far end of the pier, a squat wooden building built upon a huge concrete platform and an elevated catwalk to allow the keepers to walk safely between the 2 stations.

Can be lit by 3 "AA" batteries (not included) or plug in adaptor included with purchase. Harbour Lights Collectible Replica - Open Edition. Lighted 7" x 5"
