Images of America - Grand Traverse Lighthouse
This book is a collaborative effort of the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum staff. Using archival photographs, this book presents distinctive stories of the Grand Traverse Lighthouse from the past that shapes the character of that community today. Grand Traverse Lighthouse has guided vessels between Chicago and the Straits of Mackinac for over 150 years. Over the course of its history, 66 lighthouse keepers, assistant keepers and the US Coast Guard personnel have maintained the light. Visitors can now tour the restored lighthouse and living museum filled with displays and exhibits depicting a simpler way of life. Soft cover 127 pages.
