| Notes: | This tower is all that remains of three different Long Tail Point lighthouses. The lighthouse was discontinued in 1859 because of danger from shore erosion. In the 1970s the government gave the tower to an individual with instructions that it be torn down. He found the task too difficult and the old stone tower still stands, minus its lantern, abandoned and decaying. |
