| Notes: | This lighthouse station was leased in 1981 to the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, and has been gradually restored since that time. The keeper's dwelling now houses a museum. The first order Fresnel lens was shot out in 1986 by a 14-year-old vandal with a 30.06 rifle. The Junior Service League raised the $500,000 it took to replace the shattered prisms. The lantern glass has been replaced with bullet-proof glass. |
