Portland Head, ME
Located on the headland north of Cape Elizabeth, this lighthouse served as a natural lookout for the harbor. Initially built as a 64 foot rubblestone tower in 1790, an additional 20 feet were added in 1852 and a fourth order Fresnel lens was installed. Automation was late to this light. The Coast Guard transferred monitoring to South Portland Maine in 1989 and the keeper’s dwelling belongs to the town of Cape Elizabeth. Each resin collectible is hand cast, handpainted, hand numbered and comes complete with its own history, certificate of authenticity and registration card. Limited Edition of 3,000 pieces. 6” x 9”.
