Sailors Valentine Heart
Tokens of love, colorful handcrafted framed shell compositions transported from Caribbean islands. Sailors used to take them home in the 1850s. Flower patterns, hearts and wind roses were popular designs. For this reason they became known as Sailor's Valentines. Today, non-endangered, real seashells are hand assembled by skilled artisans into intricate reproductions rivaling 19th century folk art originals. Ours is glass-covered, in a mahogany frame and brass hanger, to grace your walls. 10"W x 2 1/4"D.
