Sankaty On The Move - Sankaty Head, MA
Nantucket Island's Sankaty Head Light dates back to 1850. By 1990, the brick and granite tower was in danger of falling over the eroding bluff. In October 2007, the beacon was lifted by 16 hydraulic jacks, pushed on 16 rollers along a steel beam and moved inland to safe haven. Re-enact this historic feat in a special limited edition replica -- you can actually move the tower! And, it lights up, powered by 3 "AA" batteries (not included) or by your separately purchased plug-in adapter.
Each resin collectible is hand cast, handpainted, hand numbered and comes complete with its own history, certificate of authenicity and registration card. Limited to 999 pieces. 11" x 7".
Reserve your replica! Order today, available August 2008.
