This U.S. Coast Guard photo shows the Galveston Jetty Light in its heyday. The lighthouse was deactivated and abandoned many years ago. Over time the station deteriorated to the point it was placed on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of Endangered Lighthouses.
