Shown here is the new automobile license plate form Michigan that features White Shoals Lighthouse. What’s interesting about this plate, owned by Mike Bauchan is that its letters stand for United States Lighthouse Service. Michael’s father, Louis Bauchan is one of the last surviving lighthouse keepers of the United States Lighthouse Service, which was dissolved in 1939.
