Spencer Collin Lighthouses sculptor Cheryl Spencer Collin was honored for her work by the United States Coast Guard in a recent ceremony in New York City on board the U.S.S. Intrepid. The award was presented under the sunny skies on the deck of the massive ship by COGAP (Coast Guard Art Program) Chairman George Gray and Vice Admiral Richard Herr, Vice Commandant of the United States Coast Guard.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard for my work sculpting U.S. Lighthouses and Lightships," remarked Cheryl Spencer Collin. "Since founding Spencer Collin Lighthouses in 1984, my enthusiasm for sculpting lighthouses and lightships has only grown. I feel very fortunate to be honored for doing something I have enjoyed doing for the past 14 years."

There are currently 60 lighthouses available in the Spencer Collin Lighthouses collection, produced by Dave Grossman Creations. All Spencer Collin Lighthouses are individually numbered limited edition figurines of 2,400 pieces. The first 500 pieces are the highly coveted Gold Label Signature Series, personally signed by Cheryl Spencer Collin. The replicas are researched extensively and architecturally accurate with the local flora and fauna carefully sculpted and hand-painted into the sculpture. Look for Spencer Collin's beloved dog, Svea and bunny, Willy on every piece. Each figurine comes handsomely gift boxed with a bevelled wood base and a gold logo coin and a magnifying glass for viewing details.

Cheryl is the only sculptor ever honored in this manner. Congratulations Cheryl!!! The entire line of her replicas are available from Lighthouse Depot.
