The emblem of the News a Scripps-Howard newspaper is a lighthouse. The paper is located out of Stuart, Florida.

The photo in the April issue of Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse was taken by Helen Ferguson. Helen lives in Mount Laurel, NJ. We incorrectly stated she lived in Maryland.

Chesapeake Bay Magazine just celebrated their 25th anniversary. They dug back in their files and came up with the very first issue. On the cover of that issue was Hooper Strait Lighthouse.

Don Muirhead was selected to receive the Duxburg, Massachusetts Men's Club Community Service Award for his volunteer work on Project Bug Light, the restoration of Duxbury Pier Light.

The Cape Cod National Seashore burned the final remains of the Peaked Hill Bars Life Saving Station. For more than a decade the remains of life saving station has been little more than a pile of rubble under a collapsed roof.

The Sparrows Point division of Bethlehem Steel now has a lighthouse as its new logo. Duane Dunham, president of Sparrows Point Division, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland said the lighthouse represents the need for Sparrows Point to serve as a "beacon of light and hope" for customers, employees and shareholders. The company is considering building a lighthouse at its plants entrance.
