We are offering the following rewards for the missing photographs of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse history.

$250.00 Cash Reward for the first person or group to send us via certified or registered mail, a photograph of North Carolina’s first (1803) Cape Hatteras Lighthouse tower.

$250.00 Cash Reward for a photograph of the blowing up of the first Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, NC

$200.00 Lighthouse Depot gift certificate for a photograph showing both the original (1803) Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and the current (1870) Cape Hatteras, NC Lighthouse towers in one photograph. The current tower would not yet have had its stripes painted on.

$100.00 Lighthouse Depot gift certificate for a photograph of the current Cape Hatteras Lighthouse tower without its stripes.

$100.00 Lighthouse Depot gift certificate for a photograph of the stripes being painted for the first time on to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse tower.

Send via certified or registered mail to Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 1690, Wells, Maine 04090. Rewards will be given on the basis of postmarks. Original photographs will be returned. However, Lighthouse Digest reserves the right to duplicate and publish the photographs and use them in any stories about the lighthouse that might appear in any type of publication.
