It Lights Up! Number thirteen in the annual Harbour Lights holiday series honors the tradition of the Flying Santa that dates back to 1929. That's when gifts were first dropped from a plane piloted by Captain William Wincapaw to lighthouse keepers and their families along the New England coast. Today, the Friends of Flying Santa still stop at many of the same lights, including Hospital Point. Sure to be a sentimental favorite, this resin statue comes with a detachable airplane and free "History of Flying Santa" booklet! Lights up with provided plug in AC adapter or 3 "AA" batteries (not included). 7" x 7 1/2".
