Notes:
Ports Des Morts Passage, the location of this lighthouse, translates as "Death's Door Passage." The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working to obtain ownership of the island from the Bureau of Land Management, and the Door County Maritime Museum and Lighthouse Preservation Society plans to stabilize the lighthouse, which has fallen into poor condition. This cannot take place until a Coast Guard cleanup of contaminated soil takes place.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
