Notes:
On April 27, 2004, the light station was transferred to the Gastineau Channel Historical Society under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000. The society plans to establish a Southeast Alaska Maritime Interpretive Center here. A Fresnel lens from this lighthouse is on display at Alki Point Lighthouse in WA.

1902: Wood frame keeper's house with square tower on front of building (lantern was moved to present tower), destroyed in 1971.

Optics: 1902: Fourth order Fresnel lens; now solar powered VRB-25 VEGA.

Fog Signal: Originally third class Daboll fog trumpet; fog signal deactivated in 1995.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
