Notes:
The light station is maintained by the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore; the Coast Guard still maintains the active optic.

Characteristic and Range: White flash every 10 seconds.

Description of Tower: White, conical brick tower with cast iron lantern. Tower is attached to keeper's house by a covered passageway.

Listed on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of endangered lighthouses.

Directions:
The Apostle Islands Cruise Service offers special lighthouse cruises, passing at least four of the area's lighthouses. The cruises depart the Bayfield City Dock at 5:30 pm and return at 10:45 pm. The cruise is offered on several days in June and July; call (800) 323-7619 or (715) 779-3925, or email info@apostleisland.com for more information. In addition, the Fifth Annual Apostle Islands Lighthouse Celebration will be held September 6-27, 2000. The celebration includes special lighthouse cruises and lighthouse tours, featuring all seven historic lighthouses of the Apostle Islands. For information call (800) 779-4487.
