The lighthouse fell into disrepair after the keeper was removed in 1963, but the West Point Development Corporation has restored the lighthouse and has added additional buildings. There are overnight accommodations inside the lighthouse tower itself, and more in an attached dwelling. There is also a craft shop next to the lighthouse, and a restaurant.

The lighthouse is located an hour's drive from the Confederation Bridge and 45 minutes from Summerside, on the Lady Slipper Scenic Drive, Route 14, off Route 2.
Nearby Lodging: There are nine guest rooms in the dwelling attached to the lighthouse and in the tower itself. All rooms have private baths. Rooms may be rented individually or with package plans. Call 1-800-764-6854 for reservations.
