Notes:
This lighthouse replaced DeTour Point Light onshore. The U.S. Coast Guard has stated that the DeTour Reef Light is now obsolete as a navigational aid. In 1998, the DeTour Reef Light Preservation Society was formed to restore, preserve, and maintain the lighthouse. Much restoration has been completed.

The DeTour Reef Light Preservation Society offers tours of the lighthouse in summer, and they also offer a keeper program that allows volunteer "keepers" to stay at the lighthouse. Visit their website or call for more information.
