This is a scale-model replica of Halfmoon Shoal Lighthouse, which stood in Galveston Bay from 1854 to 1900. Inside the structure there are displays providing facts and photos of the Texas City bayshore facilities and wildlife. Funding for the replica was partially provided by the Rotary Club of Texas City, Texas City Rotary Foundation, and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
