Notes:
This tower was built as a memorial to William Livingstone, who was the president of the Lake Carriers' Association from 1902 to 1925. It was built for $100,000, mostly from private donors. It was built primarily as a memorial, but also serves as an active aid to navigation.

Belle Isle Park is located in Detroit two miles E of the Renaissance Center at Jefferson Ave. and Grand Blvd. Foot paths lead to the lighthouse. The park is open daily from 6 a.m.to 10 p.m.
