Notes:
This is one of six limestone "Imperial Towers" built in the Georgian Bay in the late 1850s. The lighthouse is said to be haunted by the ghost of a sea captain wrecked nearby.

The Blue Heron Company runs occasional boat trips to Cove Island. For information call (519) 596-8132 or email information@blueheronco.com. The lighthouse is within Fathom Five National Marine Park. The park is accessible via the ferry that operates between Tobermory and South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island during the spring, summer and fall, phone (519) 596-2510. The lighthouse can be seen from the ferry.
