In 1975, the keeper at this remote station watched the freighter EDMUND FITZGERALD pass by in a storm. The ship was wrecked in the storm, with no survivors. The island is within Pukaskwa National Park.

Characteristic and Range: Flashing white every 8 seconds, range 18 miles.
