On September 15, 1956, the Whaleys returned to Anacapa Island with their first-born son. They rode up from the dock in the cargo box suspended from the boom on the upper landing. Leo Jr. looks at the lower landing 120 feet below, while Shirley watches three-day-old Leo III (Skip).
