Maine Governor John Baldacci addressing the crowd at the Official Release Ceremony of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse quarter. The governor praised former Governor Angus King for allowing Mainers to vote on which quarter design they wanted. He then went on to say how the new lighthouse quarter reflects Maine’s rich seafaring history and the importance of ocean commerce to Maine’s economy yesterday as well as today.
