This 1900 photo shows the 128-foot steamer KEENORA on the Rainy River. This vessel made the 182 mile trip between Kenora and Fort Frances in three days for a one-way fare of $8 and held up to 200 passengers. It also sometimes carried up to two railway cars of cattle crowded in the hold.
