This photo of a group gathered on the porch of the keeper’s house at Little Hope Island Lightstation, circa 1940 or earlier, was taken by Catherine Rudderham (née Payzant), who remembers going out in a dory with friends to visit the island. The man on the right in the front is Frank Langille, son of Keeper Alan Langille. Frank Langille became keeper at Little Hope in 1947. He later became keeper of Flint Island Light and in November 1950 was lost along with an assistant keeper in a dory off Flint Island. Courtesy of Dave Rudderham.
