In the 1960s, Märket became a country of its own in the world of ham radio amateurs (because the island is a “federal reef,” geographically separated from its motherland [mainland Finland] by the autonomous province of Aland). Kee Eriksson became an enthusiastic ham radio operator and continues to be so to this day. From the collection of Kee Eriksson.
