Harbour Lights, the leading manufacturer of lighthouse replicas in the nation, commissioned the replica of Clark’s Point Lighthouse to draw national attention to the International Lighthouse Conference that will be held this September in New Bedford, MA, where the recently restored lighthouse is located.

Kim Andrews gave the autographed artist’s proof to Tim Harrison for the American Lighthouse Foundation to use in any way that it wanted to help draw attention to the upcoming conference.

The recently restored lighthouse was relit in a ceremony attended by 3000 people. What is even more amazing is that the lighthouse was restored using no taxpayer money and it is the third lighthouse the city of New Bedford has restored, making it the only City in America to restore three lighthouses in this manner.

Harrison said the autographed artist’s proof would be given to New Bedford Mayor Frederick M. Kalisz, Jr., saying, “No one better deserves this replica more than the Mayor. Without his efforts Clark’s Point Light would not have been restored and it is under his leadership and direction that the City of New Bedford is hosting and cosponsoring with the American Lighthouse Foundation the International Lighthouse Conference.”

The International Lighthouse Conference that is being sponsored by the City of New Bedford and the Foundation will be held Sept 17-23 in New Bedford and with registration is open to the general public. For more information on the conference, see the ad on page 10.
