The recent Bill Younger personal appearance and autograph signing at Lighthouse Depot, "The World’s Largest Lighthouse Gift Store" was a real special event this year as Harbour Lights gave away a gold plated replica of the Mark Twin Memorial Lighthouse.

The New England Lighthouse Lovers, (NELL) a ...

Bill showed up early in the morning at Lighthouse Depot's warehouse to autograph replicas that had been pre-sold by mail, phone and web through the Lighthouse Depot catalog. Then it was off to the store where his fans were awaiting him.

The winner of the gold plated Harbour Lights replica of the Mark Twain Lighthouse was Alfred Sampson of Wells, Maine. This in itself was unusual, since this was the first time in anyone's memory that a local resident had actually won something in a contest at Lighthouse Depot. Winners in past contests held by the Depot had always been (as they say in Maine) from away.
