The American Lighthouse Foundation Lighthouse will be on display at various Hannaford Brothers Supermarkets in southern Maine and will help promote the efforts of the American Lighthouse Foundation. The American Lighthouse Foundation ten-foot tall lighthouse was sponsored by LITEHOUSE Foods, (makers of LITEHOUSE Salad Dressing, which is available in the produce section of most grocery stores) and Shipyard Brewing Co, (makers of Shipyard Light Ale, which features different lighthouses on each bottle). Both firms are supporters of the American Lighthouse Foundation’s efforts to save our nation’s lighthouses. It was designed by Maine artist John Byrne.

Lighthouses on Parade book to be released May 1

The spectacular Lighthouses on Parade book is available from Lighthouse Depot as item #31874. The beautiful book, the only of its kind ever published, is available for $30.00 plus shipping from Lighthouse Depot. The book has information on every one of the “Lighthouses on Parade” lighthouses, the artist who painted it, why the design was chosen, and some historical information on some of Maine’s lighthouses with vintage photos. Sales of the book benefit the American Lighthouse Foundation.

The historical part of the book was written by Tim Harrison, president of the American Lighthouse Foundation, editor of Lighthouse Digest Magazine and a partner at Lighthouse Depot. He will be happy to autograph the books for you, but you will need to request his autograph when ordering the book.

If you are a Harbour Lights collector you will surely want a copy of this book and take it to every Harbour Lights events and have the Harbour Lights page autographed by Bill and Nancy Younger and or their daughter Kim Andrews of Harbour Lights.
