Dorothy Russell of Everett, Washington sent in this old magazine ad from the February 1926 issue of National Geographic.
The ad, in making its sales pitch, shows a lighthouse keeper at a remote lighthouse and says, “There is no loneliness where there is a Radiola.”
If you have an antique magazine ad that uses a lighthouses to promote a product that you’d like to share with us you can mail it to Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 1690, Wells, Maine 04090. After we write about it, we’ll donate it to the American Lighthouse Foundation. Or, you can send the ad direct to them at ALF, P.O. Box 889, Wells, ME 04090. Sorry we cannot return and ads set to us, they will all be donated to ALF
