Lighthouse Advertising Cards
Advertising cards have been popular in America nearly since its beginning; an idea that was imported from Europe. One of the most popular was cigarette package insert cards. However, many other businesses also used them. This card featuring the Eddystone Light House was issued by Guppy & Kinsman Druggists and Pharmacists in Augusta. Unfortunately, we don’t know which state they were referring to.
If you have old advertising memorabilia that you’d like to donate it would be a wonderful addition to the lighthouse advertising section of the Museum of Lighthouse History in Wells, Maine. Send to Museum of Lighthouse History, P.O. Box 889, 2178 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090
