Tower Talk

By Timothy Harrison

Over the past year, I've asked for your help in promoting lighthouses and lighthouse history by getting Lighthouse Digest into the hands of more people through gift subscriptions, newsstand sales, libraries and waiting rooms. The response from our readers has been tremendous. However, we must not get complacent, we must continue with vigor to keep promoting lighthouses and why it's important to save not only the structures themselves, but the histories, memories and photographs associated with them.

One way is to get Lighthouse Digest into the hands of students of all ages. Students will be the

next generation of caretakers of our history and we must start getting them interested now. In order to start getting young people interested in lighthouses, we are offering a half-price subscription to Lighthouse Digest to school libraries, which includes grade schools, colleges and universities or the history department of any higher education learning facility. You can help by ordering a subscription for them at this special half-price limited time offer.

With your help, we can get Lighthouse Digest into school libraries across North America and perhaps the world. Look for the half-price offer form in this issue and help us make a difference through public awareness in the ongoing battle to save lighthouses and the history associated with them.

Thanks for helping us make a difference.
