We have been working hard to preserve the history of America's lighthouses. It has been a very progressive 15 years.
In the beginning it seemed as if everyone loved lighthouses, but truly believed that nothing would ever happen to them - they would stand forever.
It has been quite a journey to save lighthouse history and each day we discover more and more information that completes the story of the families and keepers who kept our historic lights.
Through our pages, we have brought to our readers lighthouse accomplishments such as the restoration of Grand Island East Channel Light, controversy as in the struggles of Currituck Light, N. Carolina, and tragic loss as in the crumbling ruins of the Cape St. George Lighthouse.
By bringing these stories to you, our readers, we hope that more attention and much needed funds will make their way to our historic beacons to keep them shining for many centuries to come.
We want to take this moment on the occasion of our 15th year of printing to thank you, our loyal readers for your help in saving our lighthouses and the grand history that make up all that lighthouses and their keepers are!
