Son of former keeper keeps the memory alive

This neat license plate from Hawaii belongs to John Ferreira. John spent his first 21 years living at lighthouses where his father was the lighthouse keeper. His father Manuel Ferreira joined the U.S. Lighthouse Service in 1908 and continued on with the Coast Guard after 1939 and served as a keeper until 1946.
