>>Click to enlarge (Size: 409,552 bytes)<< At one time nearly every lighthouse had a Fresnel lens, but today most are in museums. However, a few remain in use at some lighthouses. Now available from Harbour Lights are two replicas of Fresnel lenses known as The Jewel of the Lighthouse. A limited edition of 5000, each lighted battery-operated lens is mounted on a wood-like resin base, and the clamshell lens is hinged.
This Clamshell style lens is a replica of the one from Montauk Point Lighthouse, NY, where the original is now on display.
