I am an avid lighthouse collector. Anyone who comes to my home thinks I'm nuts. lol. The way I see it, I didn't choose lighthouses, lighthouses chose me. It's funny how most of us have the same sudden "awakening" if you will -- for the interest and admiration of lighthouses. I was walking in the mall when I spotted a huge lighthouse painting in one of the store windows. It was standing stoic in the center of the ominous sea. Forces of waves were splashing against it, yet it stood strong. It looked so beautiful. I instantaneously fell in love with it. Ever since -- I've been hooked. That was five years ago. There aren't too many lighthouses along the Coast where I live, so I'd love to travel along the east coast and stop at every lighthouse along the way. I'd also LOVE to spend the night in a lighthouse. I've seen all the lighthouses along the Texas Coast thru Pensacola Florida. I love the Pensacola Lighthouse. It looks so beautiful at night. I could watch it for hours. It's mesmerizing. I guess I am a little "weird" after all. lol.
