In 1969 the light was reduced to a minor aid and was relocated outside the lantern room. In July 1977 the optic was moved back inside the lantern room.

Optics: 1903: Fourth order Fresnel lens. A lens from Tree Point Light is at the Tongass Historical Museum, 629 Dock Street, Ketchikan, AK 99901, phone (907) 225-5600. 1969: 250mm optic; 1977: 300mm optic. Now VRB-25.

Fog Signal: Had air siren.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
