R. Drake writes: "My mom used to go the Pla-Port resort as a girl in the 1930s. It was one of the first resorts built on the Lake of the Ozarks. There was a store in the bottom part of the lighthouse. We were in the Ozarks in 1998; the resort and lighthouse are long gone. "
