Directions:
From the town of Miramichi, take Highway 117 along the south shore of the bay to the place called Escuminac (about 25? miles). Where Highway 117 turns inland (right), continue straight ahead a few miles to a camping ground on the left. The paved road ends here; the dirt road leading to the lighthouse has deep ruts and holes and is virtually impassable, so it's best to leave vehicles at the entrance to the camping ground (ask permission, just to be sure) and walk the approx. 3 miles to the lighthouse. Spectacular view over the Gulf from the point, high above the water. (Thanks to Michel Forand.)
