The lighthouse was discontinued because it was made redundant by the opening of the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Directions:
Exit 51 on Highway 16, before the Confederation Bridge. There is an admission fee to the nature centre. In 2002, the centre is open until October 15.
