Notes:
Between 1933, when it was deactivated, until 1952, the Colchester Reef Lighthouse fell into disrepair. In July 1952, Electra Havemeyer Webb, the founder of the Shelburne Museum, purchased the lighthouse. A crew of five men dismantled the lighthouse and took it to Shelburne by barge, reassembling it in less than a month.

It is not known at this time if this light is operational

Museum?
The Shelburne Museum consists of 37 buildings, including the lighthouse, displaying collections of Americana including carriages, decoys, dolls, furniture, toys, trade signs, quilts and weathervanes. A cafe and museum store are open daily. The museum is closed January 1 to March 31. From late May to mid-October, the museum is open 10 to 5 daily. Shorter hours in spring and fall.

From I-89, take Exit 13 to Route 7 south. The museum is in Shelburne, seven miles south of Burlington.
