Notes:
Point Fermin Light serves as the residence of the superintendent of Point Fermin Park, a 37-acre public park. A light in a shack, then a light in a pole, replaced the lighthouse as an aid to navigation. The lantern was removed but a replica lantern was created. The lighthouse was restored by the Sons and Daughters of the Golden West. A new chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society has now formed. The Point Fermin Chapter hopes to eventually open the lighthouse to the public on a regular basis.
