Point Petre is an active government environmental research facility. A sea serpent -- or "lake monster" -- sighting was reported at Point Petre in 1842.

Description of Tower: Cylindrical concrete tower with horizontal red and white stripes.

Directions:
Go to the end of CR 24 off of CR 10. The road ends at the gate to the environmental research station; the lighthouse can be seen from the gate.
