Notes:
Point Pinos Light is the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in California. Leased by the U.S. Coast Guard to the City of Pacific Grove and thye Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.

The lighthouse is open to the public Thursday through Sunday, 1-4 pm. Admission is free. Call (831) 648-3116, ext. 13 for more information.

Directions:
The lighthouse is off CA 68 at the tip of the Monterey Peninsula, at the end of Lighthouse Avenue. Access is from Asilomar Avenue, just north of the intersection with Lighthouse Avenue. Parking is available at the entrance.

Keepers: Charles Layton (1855-56); Charlotte Layton (1856-1860); Allen Luce (c. 1879); Emily Fish (1893-1914).
